The health and safety of our puppies is our top priority. We love to get photos and updates of our puppies from our current puppy owners. If for any reason you are unable to keep your puppy please contact us so that we can help to find them a good home. We genetically test all of our dachshunds prior to breeding and we offer a one year health guarantee. Our puppies come with an AKC microchip and a blanket that smells like the puppies mother and litter mates. We find this helps the puppy with transitioning to their new home. We have a veterinarian that comes out to our kennel and checks the Health of each puppy before they leave for their new home. Each puppy comes with a copy of the health check and will have received their first set of vaccinations.

A Quality Dog Breeder

Our kennels are 100% in compliance with the AKC. We are also proud members of the Breed With Heart program. Our kennels are fully equipped with heating and air. We also have an outdoor play area where our pets love to get out and enjoy the fresh air. All of our puppies are raised inside our home in our puppy room dedicated just for them.  All of our dachshunds are very well loved and taken care of. My husband hand built our kennel and took extra steps to ensure our pets are comfortable and safe. Our puppies are very socialized. My teenagers love to play with the puppies. Puppies that are well socialized have an easier time adjusting to their new home after leaving their mother.

It is good to do research on the breed before considering adding a dachshund to your family. This may not be the case for all dachshunds but this is my personal opinion based off the personality’s of Dell’s Dachshunds’.  They don’t like to be left alone. Sometimes they have anxiety when their owners leave them. They are originally pack dogs and like to be with other dogs or humans. They have a tendency to getting attached to one person. It usually is the person who spends the most time with them. They can be stubborn but they also like to please. I think they respond best when reinforced with treats and praise. They love to dig holes and play out side. They also like to hunt. It’s not uncommon for them to pick up a sent and run to try and find it. It’s best to keep them on a leash or in a fenced in yard for this reason. They are very small and Hawks are a danger for them. They need someone to keep a close eye on them when they are outside. As far as personality goes I have found that they are like people and all of them are different. Some are shy and some are out going. Some very laid back and easy going. The one thing that they all have in common is they are loyal pets and very sweet and loving.
